Our History
Sinn Family Celebration of Life Center has strong roots in the Trimont community, founded on a shared vision between Ean and Greg, who first began working together in 2015. The two always planned to unite their efforts when Ean returned home after his college years and internship. Their mission was clear: to create a funeral home that genuinely reflected the unique needs of the community.
In January 2023, after Ean’s experience as a funeral director in Sheboygan, WI, he returned to Trimont, and the vision for a new funeral home began to take shape. Rather than building from the ground up, they saw an opportunity to renovate an existing space—one that would offer a more personal, meaningful setting for families.
In March 2023, they began discussions with the Trimont United Methodist Church about purchasing its building. The church graciously agreed to allow the continued use of its space for services and events while Ean’s team transformed the building to better meet the needs of the growing community.
On July 14, 2023, the purchase was finalized, and the renovation process began. With great care, the building was cleaned, cleared, and revamped to provide a warm, welcoming, and accessible space. By November 6, 2023, Sinn Family Celebration of Life Center received its state license and officially opened its doors, offering compassionate, personalized, and affordable services to the families in Trimont, Welcome, and Sherburn.
In October 2024, the center expanded its reach by partnering with St. Paul’s Community Church in Welcome, extending its service to a broader area with a new Welcome chapel. Then, in April 2025, the funeral home's footprint grew further with the purchase of the First Congregational Church of Sherburn, leading to the licensing of the Sinn Family Celebration of Life Center - Sherburn Chapel.
These three buildings have since become a cornerstone of community support, hosting not only funerals, visitations, and receptions but also educational seminars, blood drives, community concerts, farmers markets, and more. Partnerships with local churches and organizations continue to strengthen the ties within the community, ensuring that Sinn Family Celebration of Life Center remains a place for connection, comfort, and support for families during their most difficult times.
