Our Story

Who We Are

At the Sinn Family Celebration of Life Center, with locations in  Trimont, Welcome, and Sherburn, we proudly serve families throughout Martin, Jackson, Cottonwood, Watonwan, and Faribault Counties.

We understand that planning a farewell for a loved one can feel overwhelming. That's why we're here, to offer compassionate guidance, heartfelt support, affordable options, and a place where every detail is handled with care by people from your own community.

Our thoughtfully designed facilities host everything from funerals and celebrations of life to visitations, receptions, and other community events that bring people together in meaningful ways. We believe every life deserves to be honored with a ceremony as unique as the person it celebrates.

Our mission is to simplify the planning process while helping families create deeply personal, healing experiences. When you walk through our doors, we want you to feel comforted, surrounded by warmth, understanding, and people who truly care.

Meet Ean

Ean Sinn, owner and funeral director, began working locally at the funeral homes in Trimont, Sherburn, and Welcome at the age of 17. Ever since then, Ean planned to return to Martin County to serve the area where he grew up.

After graduating with his Bachelor's Degree, majoring in Mortuary Science at the University of Minnesota, he completed an internship in Winona at the Hoff Celebration of Life Center. Ean later worked in eastern Wisconsin for several years, before returning home to Martin County to open his own business with his wife, Crystal Sinn, and employee Greg Wohlhuter. Rather than building from the ground up, they looked for an opportunity to renovate an existing space, one already rooted in the community they hoped to serve.

Our Story, Building by Building

March 2023 After searching the area, Ean approached the Trimont United Methodist Church board with a unique idea: the church would sell its building to the funeral home, while continuing to host its usual church events there.

July 14, 2023 The purchase of the church was finalized, and renovations began.

November 6, 2023 Sinn Family Celebration of Life Center was officially licensed and opened its doors, with the initial renovations complete.

October 2024 We partnered with St. Paul's Community Church in Welcome, creating a new chapel to extend our reach further into the community. It was also in October when we finished our additions to our Trimont location.

April 2025 Our footprint expanded again with the purchase of the First Congregational Church of Sherburn, leading to the licensing of the Sinn Family Celebration of Life Center – Sherburn Chapel.

January 2026 We expanded our business offerings further by installing our own crematory at our Trimont location. We can now proudly say that "Your loved one never leaves our care."

'More than just a funeral home'

Together, these three buildings have become cornerstones of community support and connection. Beyond funerals, visitations, and celebrations of life, our spaces have hosted educational seminars, blood drives, concerts, farmers' markets, and more.

Partnerships with local churches and organizations continue to strengthen our mission, ensuring that Sinn Family Celebration of Life Center remains a place of connection, comfort, and care for families across Martin, Jackson, Cottonwood, and Watonwan Counties during their most difficult times.
