WINNEBAGO - Yen Tran, age 84, passed away peacefully on August 6, 2026, at Heartland Senior Living - Parker Oaks in Winnebago, Minnesota.

Yen was born on October 28, 1941, in Saigon, Vietnam, to Lu Vi Minh and Tran Thin. She worked as a kindergarten teacher for much of her life in Los Angelos, California. In March of 2023, she moved to Truman, MN, to be closer to her son, Johnny.

Yen was a devoted Christian throughout her life, and she honored God however she could instilling her love for him in all of her children and grandchildren.

Yen is survived by her children, Dan (Liu Yan) Vuong and Johnny (Ling Huang) Vuong; grandchildren, Esther Vuong, Samuel (Leanne) Vuong, Matthew Vuong, and Isaac Vuong; brother, Son Tran; and sister, Yen Tran.

Yen was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Yen Tran.
