The Sinn Family Celebration of Life Center of Trimont, Sherburn, and Welcome is assisting Tim's family with arrangements. You may leave a message of sympathy and support for his family at Tim's obituary page at www.sinnfuneralhome.com.

Tim was born on March 1, 1968, in Mt. Lake, MN, to Sharon Sanford (Swanson) and Claire Kirk. Tim married Sheila Fast in 1991, and together they had three children.

Tim held many titles, including husband, dad, gramps, coach, teacher, friend, and father figure to many. To know him was to love him. Tim coached football, baseball, and basketball for more than 25 years and taught at Mountain Lake Public School for 25 years.

Tim had many hobbies and passions, especially his love of football - both coaching and watching. Tim led his high school team to state six times, won the high school state championship in 2019, and became the winningest coach in Mountain Lake football history. In the five-year history of the Laker amateur football team, he led the team to championships four out of five years. Tim also loved being with his family, collecting sports cards, playing golf, staying in shape, and playing card games.

Above all, Tim was a family man, and through his faith, he led his family in humility, integrity, and a steadfast love. He found his greatest pride and joy in his wife and children, and his grandchildren, who were an added gift that filled his heart.

Tim is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Sheila Kirk; his children, Jordan (Allison) Kirk, Carter (Bailey) Kirk, and Anna Kirk and her significant other, Nathan Muzungu; his sister Wendy (Todd) Turgeon; his brother, Brad Kirk; his nieces, Tori Turgeon and Gabby Kirk; his nephew, Lucas Kirk and significant other, Claudia Campbell; and his parents-in-law, Ken and Wendy Fast.

Tim is preceded in death by his mother, Sharon Sanford; his father, Claire Kirk; his stepdad, Jim Sanford; and brother Randy Kirk.

Tim’s legacy of leadership, loyalty, and love will live on through the people he loved most.
