MOUNTAIN LAKE - Shirley (Buller) Newman, age 89, of Mountain Lake, MN, passed away on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, at the Good Samaritan Society - Mountain Lake.

A private burial will be held at Cornerstone Bible Church Cemetery in rural Mountain Lake, MN.

Shirley was born on November 10, 1936, in Mountain Lake, MN, to Peter and Anna (Wiens) Buller. She graduated from Mountain Lake High School with the class of 1954. On June 17, 1986, Shirley was united in marriage to George Newman in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. She was a member of the Cornerstone Bible Church in Mountain Lake.

Shirley is survived by her nieces and nephews, Dan Gerber, Becky Ruddy, Joanna Pinkerton, Paul Buller, Glen Buller, Mary Triller, James Buller, Charles Buller, Jeanette Slater, Wendy Fast, Kathy Murray, Donna Brenneman, and Curt Buller; great-nieces and great-nephews; and other relatives and friends.

Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, George; parents, Peter and Anna; sister, Edna (Ellis) Gerber; brothers, Harold (Anne) Buller, Peter (Gladys) Buller, Clarence (Phyllis) Buller, and Henry Buller.
