RAPID CITY, SD - Scott David Hagen, 55, of Rapid City, SD, and formerly of Welcome, MN, passed away on July 8, 2026 in Omaha NE while doing what he loved: taking his 2 week motorcycle trip with his best friend, Roger Greer.

A Celebration of Life Visitation will be held for Scott on Saturday, July 18, 2026, from 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM at the Sinn Family Celebration of Life Center - Welcome (214 N Dugan Street, Welcome, MN 56181).

The Sinn Family Celebration of Life Center of Trimont, Sherburn, and Welcome is assisting the family with arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Scott's memory to the charity of your choice.

Scott was born on June 26, 1971 to Jerald and JoAnn (Simons) Hagen in Fairmont, MN. He graduated from Martin County West High School in 1989 after attending school in Welcome MN until they consolidated his senior year. Scott graduated college in 1993 from South Dakota State University with a degree in Commercial Economics.

Scott met Andra Westphal while cruising 8th Street in Rapid City on Spring Break in 1990. They were united in marriage on July 31, 1992 in Sioux Falls, SD at Augustana College. They briefly moved to Rapid City and then relocated to Colorado Springs. While in Colorado Springs, two children were born: their daughter Autumn in 1996 and son Sawyer in 2000. The family then moved back to Rapid City where Scott and Andra currently reside.

Scott worked for Sanmina, SCI, Merillat, Rapid City Regional Hospital and Black Hills Energy. He was in Purchasing where he worked his way up to being a director.

If you met Scott, you either loved him or you hated him. If you got to truly know Scott, you loved him. He loved deeply and was generous to those he loved and even those he didn’t. He was so funny! His sense of humor was untouched - one animated story could have the entire room laughing until their bellies hurt. His humor will be missed so much.

Grateful for having shared his life are his wife Andra of almost 34 years, daughter Autumn, son Sawyer, parents Jerald and JoAnn, Sister Dawn (Jim) Aschemann, brother Jarett (Stephanie) Hagen, Sister-in-law Angi (Brian) Bergman, Sister-in-law Amy Westphal and many extended family members. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Evald and Evelyn Hagen and Orlando and Ethel Simons.
