LaVonne Bittner

TRIMONT - LaVonne C. “Vonnie” Bittner, age 73, of Trimont, MN, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at her home.

A Celebration of Life service will be held for Vonnie at 2:00 PM on Sunday, February 8, 2026, at the Sinn Family Celebration of Life Center - Trimont (111 Apple Street E, Trimont, MN 56176) with Ean Sinn as the funeral celebrant. Visitation will take place from 1:30 PM - 2:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home with a reception to follow the service.

LaVonne Constance (Scheerle) Bittner was born on January 13, 1953, to Wayne and Eleanor (Ross) Scheerle, in Staples, MN. On October 25, 1969, Vonnie was united in marriage to Gordon “Butch” Bittner in Staples, Minnesota. Following their marriage, they lived in Staples before moving to Rock Springs, Wyoming. Over the years, they also made their homes in Granada, Welcome, Sherburn, and eventually Trimont.

Vonnie enjoyed going to the casino and doing scratch-off tickets, as well as spending time baking and cooking for those she loved. She also liked crafting and keeping busy with hands-on projects. Most of all, she valued time spent with her family and truly enjoyed being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Vonnie will forever be remembered by her three sons, Tucker (Deanna) Court, Rodger (Mary) Bittner, and Scott Bittner; four grandchildren, Austin, Alexis, James, and Nick; great-grandchildren, Izzie and Emily Bittner; siblings, Bruce (Mary Jane) Scheerle, Doug (Jean) Scheerle, Milo (Julie) Scheerle, and Dave (Mona) Scheerle; two sisters-in-law, Feona Beveridge and Midge Johnson; nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends

Vonnie was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon “Butch” Bittner; parents, Wanye and Eleanor; siblings; and other relatives and friends.
