Karen (Lisle) Jarrett was born on December 27, 1940, to Marvin Lisle and Loretta Klinzman in Perry, Iowa. She graduated from Osseo High School with the class of 1960. After high school, she began her career working as a waitress on rollerskates at A&W in Osseo. She continued to work as a waitress and cook for many years, and was well known for her incredible cooking skills.
In 1964, Karen married Grant Jarrett, and together they were blessed with three daughters, Lorri, Lelia, and Leann. After their wedding, they lived in Blaine for three years before moving to the French Lake/Annandale area, where they made their home for 43 years. Later, they retired to Arizona, where they enjoyed 23 years of living together in the sunshine. Karen and Grant loved nights spent dancing together to their favorite band, Country Junction/Silverado.
Karen had a love for ceramics, beginning as a student and then continuing as a teacher, hosting an in-home ceramics studio in Annandale for many years. When Karen and Grant moved to Arizona, she taught a ceramics class at the Lost Dutchman Trailer Park for 25 years. She treasured the many camping trips that she had taken with her family over the years.
Time with her family brought her the greatest joy in life, and she was always kept busy chasing her many grandkids and great-grandkids around - and she loved every second of it.
Karen was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Dunnell and particularly enjoyed the VBS program and cooking for the kids. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Apache Junction.
Karen will forever be remembered by her children Lorri Harris, Lelia Ramthun, and Leann (Alan) Swanson; grandchildren, Billi Jo (Brandon) Hodgeman, Richard (Holly Main) Ramthun, Grant (Kirsten Ringgenberg) Swanson, Ryan (Faith Andress) Ramthun, Mikayla (Joshua) Newton, Brittany (Josh) Daddino, Johnathon (Willow) Harris, Hunter (Rachel Nelson) Swanson, and Shelby (Jeremiah Lebsack) Harris; along with 11 great-grandchildren; siblings, Sharon (Don) Ahrens, Sue Plamann, Brenda (John) Conzet; brothers, Brad (Paula) Russell and Myron (Sue) Russell; stepmother, Patty Russell; brother-in-law, Dennis (Shirley) Jarrett; and other relatives and friends.
Karen was preceded in death by her infant son, Kazen; mother and stepfather, Loretta and Myron Russell; father, Marvin; mother-in-law and father-in-law, John and Lelia (Parton) Jarrett; sons-in-law, Tim Harris and Jarrit Ramthun; stepbrother, Jim Russell; and other relatives and friends.
