Justin Fitzgerald

DUNNELL - After years of resilience and determination, Justin Fitzgerald was called home, free from the challenges of MS, at the age of 46 at Temperance Lake Ridge in Sherburn, MN, on Wednesday, November 20, 2024.

A Celebration of Life service will be held for Justin at 11:00 AM on Monday, November 25, 2024, at the Trimont Covenant Church, (85 Main St E, Trimont, MN 56176) with Pastor Todd VanZee officiating. The service will be recorded, and available live as well as after the service at Justin’s obituary page at www.sinnfuneralhome.com. 

Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 24, 2024, from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM at the Sinn Family Celebration of Life Center (111 Apple Street East, Trimont, MN 56176), as well as one hour prior to the service on Monday at the church.

Burial will take place at Lake Fremont Cemetery near Dunnell, MN.

Justin Fitzgerald was born on January 23, 1978, to Jim and Sheryl (Jurries) Fitzgerald in Estherville, Iowa. He graduated from Martin County West with the class of 1996. While in high school, Justin was a standout athlete on the wrestling and football teams. 

Later in his life, Justin was blessed with three children, Miles, Faith, and Luke. He treasured all of the moments that he was able to spend with his children, and always looked forward to attending their various school and sporting events. Justin was always decked out in green and gold for his favorite team, the Green Bay Packers. He was an avid fan and wouldn’t ever miss watching them play on game day.

Justin had a strong faith in God and was comforted in the fact that he would one day have a perfect heavenly body after his life on Earth ended. He enjoyed attending the Trimont Covenant Church and appreciated the loving support of his church family.

Justin will forever be remembered by his children, Miles, Faith, and Luke Fitzgerald; stepdaughter, Tayler Gray; parents, Jim and Sheryl Fitzgerald; brothers, Jonathan Fitzgerald and Jeremiah (Jasmine) Fitzgerald; sisters, Jamie Rohman and Jenna (Dusty) Faber; nieces and nephews, Jenna, Ty, Jaxson, Carver, Bella, Slade, Maddex, Pierce, Nora, Rowan, Hamilton, Gannon, Tatum; good friend, Courtney Lang; and many other friends and relatives.

Justin was preceded in death by his grandparents, Fred and Esther (Refsell) Fitzgerald and John and Shirley (Sharar) Jurries; uncles, Doug Anderson, Larry Fitzgerald; cousin, Doug Fitzgerald; good friend, Chad Thiesse.

Justin’s family would like to thank the healthcare professionals who have cared for him throughout his journey with MS, especially the staff at Temperance Lake Ridge which had been his home for the last eight years and the staff with UHD hospice.
