TRIMONT - Floraine Leone (Jensen) Delaney, age 95, slipped peacefully into the arms of Jesus on Thursday, November 20th, 2025, at the St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Shakopee, MN.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held for Floraine at 11:00 am on Monday, December 1, 2025, at the Sinn Family Celebration of Life Center / Trimont United Methodist Church (111 Apple St. E, Trimont, MN) with Pastor Clint Firstbrook officiating. The service will be recorded and available afterwards on Floraine's obituary page at www.sinnfuneralhome.com.
Visitation will take place from 9:30 AM -11:00 AM prior to the service on Monday. Floraine will be laid to rest at Elm Creek Cemetery, in rural Trimont next to her husband, Russell and son, Bruce.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Trimont Museum or Trimont Community Food Shelf.
Floraine was born September 7, 1930, at her grandparents’ home in Alpha, Minnesota, to Freeman and Leona (Arndt) Jensen. She grew up on a farm west of Trimont until 1945, after the passing of her mother, when the family moved to Triumph. She attended and later graduated from Triumph-Monterey High School with the class of 1948. After graduation, she worked as a telephone operator for Central Telephone Company in Triumph.
On September 29th, 1949, she was united in marriage to Russell Delaney. Together they raised 2 children, Michelle and Bruce, in Trimont. Floraine worked for several businesses in Trimont, retiring from the Trimont Cenex Co-op in 2002. After retiring she and her husband, Russell, opened Delaney Antiques in Trimont. She was an active member of the United Methodist Church for most of her life. She loved her Church family and always looked forward to serving in any way that was needed. She was also a member of the American Legion Women's Auxiliary in Trimont. Floriane enjoyed spending time with her friends, playing cards, belonging to book clubs, shopping, and going to auctions. She was a collector of many things. Floraine faithfully volunteered in her community whenever there was an opportunity. She officially retired in February 2025 from her volunteer work at the Trimont Town Center, where she kept busy stocking shelves.
Floraine is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Michelle and Glee Persson; five grandchildren; Tiffany (Dana) Strom, Sasha (Lucas) Feine, Christopher Delaney, Gabrielle (Rick) Stidger and Jacob Persson; Twelve great-grandchildren, Mary, Clare, Riley, Madelyn, Griffin, Alivia, Annalee, Ashton, Jack, Delaney and Eleanor; three nephews, Mark (Jeni) Hogan, Tom Hogan, and Dan (Jodi) Hogan; great-nieces and nephews, Johnathan, Rachel, Owen, Spencer and Elenor.
Floraine was preceded in death by her husband Russell Delaney; son, Bruce Delaney; great-grandson, Jameson Stidger; infant brother, Lyle Jensen; sister and brother-in-law Faye and John Hogan.
