Cindy L. (Holtz) Mock was born on December 19, 1959, to Elmer and Dorothy (Schultz) Holtz in Trimont, Minnesota. Cindy was a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Trimont. She attended elementary school in Trimont and graduated from Trimont High School with the class of 1978. After graduation, Cindy was united in marriage to Jim Mock at Trinity Lutheran Church in Trimont on June 17, 1978. Together, they raised two daughters, Sara and Wendy.
Cindy was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She supported her husband Jim throughout their life on the farm—preparing meals, tending the garden, and raising their children with steady love and care. Her greatest joy was the life she built with Jim and the family that they created together. Family vacations, camping trips, lake days, and time spent at the farm were treasured traditions that brought her deep happiness. She loved boating, fishing, and watching the deer and birds in the yard.
Cindy’s grandchildren were the light of her life, and she would do whatever she could to spend as much time with them as possible - including having them all down for ‘Grandma’s Summer Camp.’ She loved to play games with them and take them on adventures around the lake, farm, and other special places. She never missed a chance to show up for their sporting events, school programs, and every other milestone with pride.
She loved to travel and made many memories on girls’ trips to Las Vegas, craft shows, and rummage sales—always up for a good deal and a good laugh. Cindy greatly enjoyed evenings playing cards and poker nights with friends.
Cindy dedicated many years to serving the students of the MCW School District in Trimont, working as a paraprofessional and in the lunchroom. Her kind presence and warm smile were a comfort to countless children and staff alike, and she found joy in being part of the school community. Cindy also served as the President of the Trimont Women of Today, a role which allowed her to give back by hosting various community events.
Cindy is survived by her husband, Jim; daughters, Sara (Josh) Christensen and Wendy (Ryan) Stangl; grandchildren, Chase, Cayden, and Chloe Christensen and Easton, Kylinn, and Harper Stangl; mother-in-law, Suzanne (Richard) Loscheider; brothers-in-law, Daniel (Micha) Mock, Robert (Peggy) Mock, and Kenneth Mock; sister-in-law, Kari Mock; and other relatives and friends.
Cindy was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Dorothy; father-in-law, Clarence Mock; and stepfather-in-law, Jim Lindberg; and other relatives and friends.
